Generally the Premier League season’s fixture, Liverpool v Arsenal rarely fails to disappoint.
Two sides who adore attacking, who like to amuse Arsenal, Liverpool and the neutral and who’d love scoring goals have played out some absolute classics in the past few years.
Since the beginning of 2014, 53 targets have been afforded by the 12 matches between the 2 sides, and that I do not expect it to change any time soon.
Arsenal’s summer signings are gelling well, particularly the impressive Dani Ceballos, and beneath Unai Emery, who is certainly famed for prioritising assault finished defence, the Gunners may believe they can really get at Liverpool, that haven’t really looked their older, completely dominant discriminated from Norwich, Southampton or Chelsea in the UEFA Super Cup.
Together with Alisson out injured, Liverpool do seem somewhat less secure in the back, together with the erratic Adrian a much less reassuring existence (because he displayed having a howler against Southampton) behind the defenders. There’s no way having a Spanish Simon Mignolet in target will not have an Effect on the medial side. ??
Backing both groups to score is a no-brainer, but I’m going to back some Liverpool triumph + BTTS as a distinct tip. Arsenal seem good, however Jurgen Klopp’s side have beaten Arsenal on their past three Anfield visits–scoring 12 days –and with these imperious home form during the last 18 months or so (and of course Arsenal’s relative travel illness ), Liverpool will be convinced of claiming the things.
1 person who has set in some performances against Arsenal over the years is Roberto Firmino.
His account opened for the season from Southampton last weekend, and with seven goals in his last four games against Arsenal at Anfield–scoring at least in each–it’s realistic to expect him to have victory.
Having so many goals I’d still be inclined to simply, although it’s also worth noting Firmino also scored Liverpool’s first goal on all four occasions. ??
